open the door. go inside. see what you see.

sarasvati goddess of divine knowledge and artistic creativity

om aim sarasvatyai namah

you can use this mantra to help you absorb knowledge, particularly that which will guide you along your spiritual path. it is also useful for any endeavor that requires the flow of creative inspiration, in this case when chanting, you might replace “namah” with “svaha.” chanting “svaha” as an act of surrender, dissolving the ego and inviting sarasvati to shower you with the gifts she deems important to your creative pursuits.

carving out a space for yourself online, somewhere where you can express yourself and share your work, is still one of the best possible investments you can make with your time. it’s why, after ten years, my first response to anyone just getting started online is to start, and maintain, a blog.

synchronicity at its finest. i was thinking about this last night. how i haven’t posted in awhile. and it’s a shame. because it’s become an exercise in expression, something that fuels my creativity, something that helps me sort out my thoughts and frankly helps me seeinside. here’s to maintaining creativity.
